Some people are rich and completely unaware of it. Apparently, one in ten citizens have unclaimed money that is waiting to fill their pockets. It could come from checks that haven’t been cashed, lost insurance refunds or apartment security deposits.
“Good Morning America” helped hundreds of people to find their unknown riches in their series “Show me the money”.
At this time, the state of New York currently holds a remarkable $11 billion in unclaimed funds. That’s more than any other single state. The 50 states and the District of Columbia are currently holding at least $32 billion in unclaimed funds.
